Adventure on the Icecap in Greenland
August 15th-18th, 2001 - Ice Camp Eqi offers basic accommodation in front of Eqi Sermia glacier, with wide wooden cabins and a resturant. From here, several excursions are available.

	The adventure starts in Ilulissat when I board a small jet boat. The trip to Ice Camp Eqi is about two hours long, between huge icebergs of bizzarre shapes and outstanding scenery.

My cabin and the wonderful scenery visible from the balcony. I am just a few miles from the front of the Eqi glacier. Often, with a big thunder, some part of the glacier collapses into the water, creating a new iceberg.



With a 30 minutes walk, it is possible to reach this nice beach where there isn't any other human's footprint.



Lichens and small flowers grow almost everywhere, even directly on the rocks.


	Excursion along the lateral moraine of Eqi glacier, that can be reached with about 1 hour walk from Ice Camp Eqi.

	My next trip to Greenland (Ilulissat and Qaanaaq) on April 2007 I've been back to Ilulissat six years later, to enjoy the place during winter, with lot of snow and dogsledges. GO.
