The north-east of the USA is known for the beautiful colors of the trees during the foliage season, typically from late September to early November, when they become yellow, red, orange and pink, before the leaves fall down in Autumn. A Vermont tour by car, lets to enjoy this natural event, giving dramatic photography opportunities. Optionally, it's possible to sleep into one of the many farms, for an event better contact with nature.
After several days spent in Vermont, the trip continues to Churchill (Manitoba, Canada) where from mid October to mid November, lot of polar bears gather together waiting for the Hudson Bay to freeze. A polar bear tour on a Tundra Buggy, an heavy vehicle with huge wheels, lets to observe the animals, taking pictures of them safely from a short distance. Polar bears aren't disturbed by the presence of the tourists, but they are just rather inquisitive. A short day tour of Chicago and Boston completes this beautiful American and Canadian journey.
